Low Brass Concerts & Festival at the U of R April 18-19
The University of Regina Department of Music is pleased to present Low Brass Concerts & Festival on Easter weekend. On Friday, April 18 Canadian jazz icon Al Kay (Boss Brass, Toronto freelancer) is here courtesy of Yamaha Canada and will perform at the Riddell Centre Theatre with a rhythm section of Jim Gallagher, piano, Peter Dyksman, bass and Gary Arnusch, drums along with a number of trombonists from Saskatchewan. The Saturday, April 19 program features Hungarian tuba virtuoso Roland Szentpali playing repertoire from Beethoven through Cherubini to Krotov-Blajevits with accompanist Cherith Alexander. Szentpali is here courtesy of B & S/Meinl-Weston tubas.

Both concerts begin at 8 p.m. and tickets (at the door) are $8 or $6 for students and seniors.
