Academic to speak about Muslim and Jewish perspectives
A public seminar entitled “Jews are Good to Think With: Muslim Constructions of the Other” will be presented by Dr. Aaron Hughes on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Regina. The seminar will be held in Room 100 at Luther College on campus. Everyone is welcome and parking is free in Lot 3, area M.

Hughes was educated at the University of Alberta and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his doctorate in religious studies from Indiana University in 2000, and he publishes in both Jewish and Islamic studies. His forthcoming book is called The Texture of the Divine: Imagination in Medieval Jewish and Islamic Thought.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Religious Studies and the Religious Studies Students Association on campus.
