Update from UR Pride
U of R Welcome Week (September 2-7)
Be sure to come and say "hello" to the folks at UR Pride throughout Welcome Week! We will be taking part at the
Club Fair (Wednesday, September 5th in the RIC Atrium), the
Vendor Fair (Thursday, September 6th on the Green) and
"Take a shot at: a UR Pride Water Balloon Challenge" (Friday September 7th on the Green). We will have lots of great info at our table during the fairs so come and check it out and find out what we're up to this semester.
Monday Movies @ UR Pride will be starting up September 10th (after welcome week craziness)! Come and find a cozy spot in the lounge, have some snacks and watch a movie with us!

Join UR Pride and Regina's Queer Youth Group in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life!
Start Location: Red Ribbon Place, 2735 5th Avenue
12:30 am - Registration
1:00 pm - Opening ceremonies
1:15 pm - Walk begins
2:30 pm - BBQ and awards ceremony

Queer Youth Group
We have lots of exciting things coming up for the fall! Our weekly youth nights for September will include guests from TransSask Support Services, discussions and information about Two Spirit and Intersex identities as well as a Resume Workshop later in the month! Regina's Queer Youth group will also be participating in the Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life on Sunday, September 23rd!
Queer Youth Group is a safe space for Queer, Questioning and Allied youth between the ages of 14-24. We meet every Wednesday in the UR Pride lounge (Riddell 225).

Once again the UR Pride Centre is gearing up for some awesome fall programming which includes more Positive Space workshops. If you weren't able to make it out to the last bunch, now is your chance! Just a reminder that the
Positive Space Online Test is now available on the site. The online test is a substitute for the introductory workshop and once completed we will give you your very own Positive Space magnet to hang in your office or space. New Open Group Discussions @ the RWRC
This September, UR Pride is partnering with the Rainbow Wellness Resource Centre to offer facilitated group discussions on Queer topics. Our first session will be held at the RWRC (2070 Broad St. lower level) on Thursday, September 27th @ 7p.m. If you are interested in meeting new people and having some good discussion, this is for you. Please attend and tell us you interests. We will be creating more specific groups based on interest and attendance.

Monday Movies @ UR Pride
UR Pride is currently seeking a volunteer to facilitate our weekly movie nights this coming September/October. The movie nights will take place on Mondays at 6:00p.m. with a discussion to follow. This individual will be expected to set up the projector and sound as well as create and submit a schedule of films that will be shown for advertising purposes through U
R Pride. Films can be chosen from the UR Pride Resource Library, the Archer Library or your personal collection (pending approval).
Perks that come along with volunteering for UR Pride are: a free UR Pride tshirt, free coffee or tea during movie nights and a free ticket to a UR Pride event of your choice this coming year!
