15th Annual Sweetheart Run, Walk & Roll Goes on May 10
The Dr. Paul Schwann Applied Health and Research Centre at the University of Regina, in partnership with the Forzani Group Foundation, is once again presenting the Sweetheart Run, Walk & Roll. The event kicks off on May 10 at 10 a.m. in front of the University’s Physical Activity Centre (PAC) and includes events for all ages and athletic abilities. Participants can choose from a 10-kilometre road race (first leg of the Timex Saskatchewan Road Race Series), five-kilometre fun run, rollerblade, wheelchair or rollerski, or a two-kilometre fun walk for families. All participants will receive a souvenir t-shirt. A brunch with many great prizes will follow the race.

This year, the Dr. Paul Schwann Applied Health and Research Centre is pleased to include a health fair as part of the event. Those attending will be able to browse through interactive displays by the Saskatchewan Physiotherapy Association, Saskatchewan Diabetes Association and Canadian Cancer Society.

Individuals can register for the event online at

Early-bird registration is $20 for adults and $7 for youth (under 14). After May 2 registration is $25 for adults and $10 for youth. Participants can also collect pledges and earn great prizes and free entry.

The Dr. Paul Schwann Applied Health and Research Centre of the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies is an established non-profit wellness centre. Proceeds from the Sweetheart Run, Walk & Roll support programs and infrastructure that help the centre serve the University of Regina, City of Regina and the Saskatchewan community.
