Media Advisory Release Date: March 19, 2019 10:00 a.m.

Did you know that a University of Regina biology student is trying to figure out what causes Alzheimer's disease at a molecular level? Or that an engineering student is trying to reduce the risk of industrial accidents? Or that psychology students are hard at work trying to better understand the mental health challenges faced by police officers, women with infertility, and children with cystic fibrosis?

University of Regina students are engaged in research with impact, and they want to share their discoveries with you - in three minutes or less!

The University of Regina's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition challenges grad students to describe their research in plain language, in only three minutes. The winner of this competition goes on to compete in the Western Canadian Competition at the University of Northern British Columbia.

Changing the world in 180 seconds. 3MT is fun, fast and enlightening!

Join U of R graduate student competitors at the University of Regina Main Campus, Research and Innovation Centre Room 119, Thursday, March 21, 7:30-9:30 PM for the 3MT Competition.
