University of Regina to host second Annual National Aboriginal Leadership Seminar

The University of Regina's Aboriginal Student Centre will host the second Annual National Aboriginal Leadership Seminar (NALS), highlighting Aboriginal role models who are "Leading Change." The seminar will take place on Tuesday, April 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the University of Regina Theatre.

*Keynote speakers include Ovide Mercredi, former Grand Chief of the Assembly of First Nations; Sandra Ahenakew, Eagle Feather news journalist and cancer awareness advocate; Corey Matthews, University of Regina Alumni Crowning Achievement Award recipient; Lynn Cote, Saulteaux language professor and Katelyn Taypotat, Bold Eagle graduate and 2010 Proud Generation Role Model. Speakers will aim to address topics such as the future challenges of today's youth and how Aboriginal leadership needs to develop to be successful in the future.

The seminar is free for students and chaperones. Lunch is provided. General attendance fees are $25.
