Abstract

Every day, on the front lines and behind the scenes across our nation, first responders and other public safety personnel keep people safe, working to save lives in times of crisis, emergency and disaster.

On Friday, April 6, 2018 public safety personnel responded to the tragic Humboldt Broncos accident. The impact of this tragedy is far-reaching, the work of public safety personnel is ongoing, and the University of Regina is in a unique position to help.

Home to the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment (CIPSRT), the University is internationally recognized for work in clinical psychology, particularly PTSD and other operational stress injuries.
