Abstract
Description
The recipient of the Dr. John Archer Library Award for 2012-2013 is Zina Scott. She won $1,000 for writing a reflective essay which she clearly articulated utilizing the library's collections and resources for conducting research. Zina wrote her reflective essay based upon an assignment that she wrote in the Fall 2012 Semester for a course called Biology 265 Animal Physiology. She is a third year student majoring in Biochemistry.
A private ceremony was held in the Library's Archives/Special Collections Reading Room Wednesday, June 19. University Librarian Bill Sgrazzutti presented Ms. Scott with a Library Award certificate. Also in attendance were Dr. Nader Mobed, representing the Faculty of Science, and Kerri Finlay, lecturer in the Department of Biology, who graded Ms. Scott's research assignment.
