| dc.description.abstract | This report discusses the counselling experiences and agency involvement of an MSW student at Family Service Saskatoon. Formal individual counselling sessions are highlighted and depict the theoretical components of Cognitive Therapy and Solution- Focused Brief Therapy as they were utilized with two clients of the agency. Examples of strategies incorporated into an eight week Intimate Partner Violence Program is discussed and the importance of therapeutic alliance is examined. Other important learning aspects related to the practicum are described in relation to values, ethics skills and visions. | en_US |
