dc.description.abstract | This practicum report explores my practicum experience for a Master of Social Work degree as a Graduate Student at Family Service Regina, a community-based organization offering counselling services to the Regina community. My approach to counselling with clients at this organization was inclusive of three therapeutic approaches which were cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and emotionally focused therapy. This report will describe these three approaches and details my experience in applying these therapeutic frameworks. This paper will describe and analyze my experiences, observations, and personal reflections throughout my practicum placement at the Counselling Unit at Family Service Regina. In addition, I will outline in detail how I met my goals and objectives. Themes of anti-oppressive ideology and practice are threaded throughout this report. I end the paper by reflecting on my perspectives as a social worker and the implications for my future practice. | en_US |
