dc.description.abstract | The University of Regina will play host to a number of important events with a strong aboriginal focus this month. June 19 to 24, the University welcomes the Community-based Health Research Institute: "Weaving the Tapestry" to campus. A keynote speaker at the five-day event will be Dr. Charlotte Reading, an Aboriginal health researcher with extensive expertise in areas such as Aboriginal health disparities, women's health and HIV/AIDS. Media are invited to hear Dr. Reading's talk on Monday, June 20th at 9:30 a.m. at The Centre for Kinesiology Health and Sport Building, Room 187. Well known filmmaker Andrée Cazabon will present the Regina premiere of "Third World Canada," a compelling look at the conditions of a First Nations community in northern Ontario. The public and media are invited to a free screening of the film at the Albert Scott Community Centre on Wednesday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m. | en_US |
