Abstract
Sabrina Sparvieer, manager of the Aboriginal Student Centre at the University of Regina, spends her day helping Aboriginal and Métis students adjust to campus life. Originally from the Cowessess First Nation, near Broadview, Saskatchewan, Sparvier is proud of the work the Aboriginal Student Centre does in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment at the University while ensuring the campus embraces both First Nations and Métis values. Sparvier, who holds a bachelor of administration degree, will present a lecture to the public on the valuable work being done at the Aboriginal Student Centre when she delivers the upcoming Nourishing Thoughts at the Food Bank lunchtime lecture series.
